The Last Supper
12 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, when it was customary to sacrifice the Passover lamb, Jesus' disciples asked him, "Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?"* * * *
Such a simple act that would transcend the ages – sharing a meal of bread and wine/juice in memory of Jesus sacrifice. Life gets so hectic, and even at church on a Sunday there are so many thoughts racing around my head. But in that moment of lifting the bread and juice to my lips, the actual mechanics of that action causes my mind to focus in on Jesus. I find I am grateful that Jesus gave us such a simple way as a community to routinely remember, honour and thank him.
